One-to-one General/Business

Arabic Course in Cardiff

Whether you're looking to learn a language for personal or business reasons, our tailor-made courses can help you achieve your aims.

General Arabic courses will provide you with enough grammar and vocabulary to allow you to converse with native speakers, and form a strong basis for further learning. Business courses will centre more on formal, business communication, and focus more on reading and writing skills as you advance further.

Courses are, however, tailor-made - you cover in your lessons what you need to cover. Most students taking a Business Arabic course will gain telephone and email expertise, as well as general conversation skills. In the same way, those taking a General course who may need more knowledge of a certain aspect of Arabic need only request it from their teacher.

Our Business courses cater to a range of requirements. Many of our clients work for foreign governments and educational institutions, corporations with branches abroad, as well as those who buy and sell around the world. General courses in Arabic suit those hoping to emigrate to foreign shores, people with a view to travel to countries where Arabic is the vernacular tongue, those with a keen interest in Arabic culture and language, and people with foreign spouses.

Info about Cardiff

The capital of Wales has a fast-growing population, and with an increase of around 35,000 people in the last 7 years it is one of the fastest growing cities in northern Europe. Cardiff also has an interesting linguistic background - Welsh, English, Latin and Norse have all held sway at different times throughout history.

Today Cardiff houses around 100 different languages around the city, mainly due to the constant influx of foreign students and the community of Welsh speakers - around 11% of Cardiffians can still converse in Cymraeg; over 600,000 people. Cardiff also has a long-established Muslim population, dating back to the 19th century; making it a great place to pick up Arabic, Urdu, Punjabi and other Middle East and south Asian languages.

Info about Arabic

Just as Latin forms the basis of most European languages, Arabic is prevalent throughout Islamic tongues. The most-spoken Semitic language in the world (well over 250 million speakers, mainly across the north of Africa), the Arabic language was of massive importance during the Middle Ages, with many important scientific, mathematical and philosophical works emanating from the Arabic world. The first worry about learning Arabic is the alphabet - the main factor of confusion being that it is written from right to left. However, once you've settled in to the new writing system and rules of pronunciation, Arabic is an intensely rich language which attracts millions of new speakers every year.
