One-to-one General/Business
Arabic Course in Kirklees
Whether you want Arabic lessons to help you in your general day-to-day life or for business needs, our made-to-order language courses can help you improve quickly and confidently.
General and Business courses in Arabic differ in style and content: a General course will concentrate on developing confident conversational skills, making short visits to the country less of an exercise in frustration and more about building upon the foundations to your own ends. Business courses are great for those whose career will be moving overseas - you would learn the fundamental protocols for engaging in business in Arabic, and later would start to focus more on the integral skills of reading and writing.
The possibilities are not limited to these two categories, however. Those taking a Business course will generally also learn Arabic telephone and email skills, as well as learning the basics for surviving short visits to the country. In the same way, those taking a General course who may need more knowledge of a certain aspect of Arabic need only request it from their teacher.
We arrange Business courses for many clients; primarily those working in international trade, overseas governments and universities, and employees of multinational firms who require a second language. General courses in Arabic suit those hoping to emigrate to foreign shores, people with a view to travel to countries where Arabic is the vernacular tongue, those with a keen interest in Arabic culture and language, and people with foreign spouses.

Info about Kirklees
Kirklees is a bit of a peculiarity - it's the most populous district in the UK that has not yet achieved city status; which is strange considering some 400,000 people call the area home. The Yorkshire borough does not have a particularly wide range of different ethnicities, although Hindi and Urdu speakers have multiplied in the last decade with the recent influx of Pakistani and Indian families.
The budding Asian communities make Kirklees a great place to pick up either of these languages, but that is not to say there would be difficulty in locating teachers for any language around the borough.
Info about Arabic
Just as Latin forms the basis of most European languages, Arabic is prevalent throughout Islamic tongues. The most-spoken Semitic language in the world (well over 250 million speakers, mainly across the north of Africa), the Arabic language was of massive importance during the Middle Ages, with many important scientific, mathematical and philosophical works emanating from the Arabic world.
The first worry about learning Arabic is the alphabet - the main factor of confusion being that it is written from right to left. However, once you've settled in to the new writing system and rules of pronunciation, Arabic is an intensely rich language which attracts millions of new speakers every year.

I am happy to say that the first lesson went well. I greatly enjoyed it. In addition to expressing herself clearly and helpfully Elena is most pleasant to work with. She produced good comprehensive photocopied course material for us to use until the book arrives so no time was wasted. Looking forward to the rest!
