One-to-one General/Business

Czech Course in Southampton

It doesn't matter if you want to learn Czech for business or pleasure - our customised language courses will help you get where you want to be.

A General course in Czech will grant you 'Survival Czech' - enough under your belt to furnish you with a working knowledge for the purpose of visiting the country, allowing you to introduce yourself and engage in conversation with native speakers. A Business course in Czech will generally cover basic business etiquette in that language, and at a higher level, reading and writing in Czech.

Our Czech courses would not be fixed to a specific curriculum, however. You know the specifics of what you will need from your new language, and all you need do is tell your teacher. Perhaps if you are taking a Business course, you may want to focus more on Czech telephone or email skills, or a specific vocabulary for your line of work. Equally, a General course will cover the fundamentals, but further focus in any particular area can easily be arranged with your teacher.

We arrange Business courses for many clients; primarily those working in international trade, overseas governments and universities, and employees of multinational firms who require a second language. Clients of our General Czech courses include people moving abroad, those entering a Czech family through marriage, those studying for a Czech exam, as well as those who are simply passionate about Czech language and culture.

Info about Southampton

The biggest city on the south coast, Southampton and its surrounding area has around 250,000 inhabitants and a great deal of cultural and ethnic diversity can be found. Almost 1 in 10 people in the city are Polish, making it a great place to pick up a Slavic tongue; and with sizeable Chinese, Irish and Asian communities as well as its interest as a tourist destination for Europeans, it's a great place to pick up almost any language. Most of this mass immigration has arrived in the last few decades, turning Southampton into one of the most densely-populated cities in the UK.

So often linked with maritime history, Southampton's glowing reputation as an illustrious port town stems back to the early 20th century when it handled most of the passenger traffic for the UK.
