One-to-one General/Business

French Course in Salford

It doesn't matter if you want to learn French for business or pleasure - our customised language courses will help you get where you want to be.

General and Business courses in French differ in style and content: a General course will concentrate on developing confident conversational skills, making short visits to the country less of an exercise in frustration and more about building upon the foundations to your own ends. A Business course will focus on business protocol in French, and later on reading and writing will become more important.

The possibilities are not limited to these two categories, however. Those taking a Business course will generally also learn French telephone and email skills, as well as learning the basics for surviving short visits to the country. In the same way, those taking a General course who may need more knowledge of a certain aspect of French need only request it from their teacher.

We have a wide range of Business course clients for a variety of needs; including people who are off to work for a foreign administration, people working in a corporation with overseas headquarters, and import/export specialists. General courses are not simply for those who need to reach a certain level of French for an exam - they are perfect for those wishing to pack up and move abroad, those marrying a French national, as well as those travelling to the country for any other reason.

Info about Salford

While the City of Salford district in Greater Manchester has over 218,000 residents, only around 75,000 of these actually live in the city itself. This is mainly due to a citywide state of decline after the Second World War, though conversely areas such as Salford Quays are particularly affluent.

The city of Salford is the home of the world's first free public library, and today the city is a haven of higher education for the area, with a university attended by more than 19,000 students. Salford has also made a name for itself as a host for many artists, mainly due to low living costs and plenty of deserted yet inspiring mills and buildings.
