Now that I'm a bit older, I have a bit more time on my hands. I started Italian cooking classes, and loved them so much that I thought I would learn a bit of the language. Well, I never thought someone my age could pick it up so quickly, but Patrizia is so patient and helpful. Now I'm even thinking about taking a holiday to Napoli!

The staff at my small import company already knew a bit of Japanese, but I wanted to make sure that they were aware of the many customs and traditions, as well as improving their language skills. Kaori comes to the warehouse every Tuesday, and has always been patient and professional, even though sometimes the guys joke around with her. Everyone is really interested in the culture, and we've all become much more comfortable with our conversational skills. Cheers, Language Trainers.

My best friend and I are going to be doing some travelling in India next year, and we thought it best for two single girls to learn some of the lingo for our own safety and peace of mind. Preema has been fantastic, helping us with street slang, food terms, and even recommending a good meditation retreat (not to mention being patient with our terrible pronunciation!). Thanks, Preema

My girlfriend recommended Language Trainers to me, and I thank her for it. My English has improved a lot in just the last two months, and it has made it easier to do my job and also talk to my English friends. I can finally even joke with them about football!

With the markets opening up in China, I thought it best that our sales team learned some of the basics, to help build our client relationships. The classes were convenient and well-paced, and our trainer even agreed to a video conference when some of the guys were out of town. I think we even surprised ourselves with the conversations we managed, and some of us can even read and write a few characters already.

I'm very much enjoying my lessons with Chiara. She's prompt and courteous and makes full use of the time. She's a skilled teacher who is quick to see both my needs and my existing skills and to build on these. I feel I'm learning a great deal about Italy as well as the language.

I'd always found French really difficult at school, so when I started needing it more for work, I was a little nervous about starting classes. Nadia has been really reassuring, though, and it's all coming back so quickly. Day-to-day emails are easy now, and I'm almost there with the formal letters. Thanks, Nadia!

I wanted to learn some Spanish before hiking the Camino de Santiago in Spain this summer. Not only did Jorge cover all the basics with me, but we even went over some maps together, and he made sure I really had all my directions down pat. Now I'll not only be able to find a place to crash, but I'll be able to have a chat with the locals over a bottle of wine, too.

After finding out that I'd been accepted into a student exchange program in Germany, I figured I'd better learn enough of the language to get by. The Language Trainers classes fit around my uni schedule, and I learned as much about the culture as I did about how to speak German. I'm now in the third week of the program, and am even relaxed enough to have organised my first date!

Teaching English in BrasÃlia doesn't really require learning Portuguese (everything at the school is done in English), but I like to keep ahead of the game. The Language Trainers classes have given me a good grounding in conversational Portuguese, along with some great advice about living in such a different city. I can't wait to practice my skills once I hit the beaches!

Moving to Scotland with my family was difficult, because I never could understand the accent! Andy comes over to our flat on Saturday afternoons and helps my wife and I a lot. He even helped us with some local slang terms and things to do in the city. We are much more comfortable here now, and continue with our classes.
