Elisa di Rivombrosa<\/h2>\n<p><iframe style=\"display: block; margin: auto;\" src=\"https:\/\/assets.pinterest.com\/ext\/embed.html?id=428404983274947231\" width=\"345\" height=\"359\" frameborder=\"0\" scrolling=\"no\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p style=\"color: #333333;\">This will appeal to lovers of historical fiction, as the series is set in the 17<sup>th<\/sup>\u00a0century and tells the story of a countess\u2019s maid, Elisa Scalzi.<\/p>\n<p style=\"color: #333333;\">In the wake of mistaken identities, the countess\u2019s son returned from war attempts to seduce Elisa, unaware she\u2019s a servant, and she begins to fall in love with him.<\/p>\n<p style=\"color: #333333;\">The series ran for two seasons and is full of romance and intrigue, and it was so popular it created a spinoff series,\u00a0<em>La Figlia di Elisa\u2014Retorno a Rivombrosa,\u00a0<\/em>about Elisa\u2019s daughter.<\/p>\n<h2 style=\"color: #333333;\">2. Un Medico in Famiglia<\/h2>\n<p style=\"color: #333333;\"><strong>\u00a0<\/strong>A more contemporary family dramedy,\u00a0<em>Un Medico\u00a0<\/em>is one of Italy\u2019s most widely successful TV series. It follows the life of a family living in Rome comprised of the widower Poggio Fiorito and his three children, aged father, in-laws, and Neapolitan au pair.<\/p>\n<p style=\"color: #333333;\">Spanning seven seasons, it\u2019s an entertaining look at a family as it grows and changes.<\/p>\n<h2 style=\"color: #333333;\">3. La Piovra<\/h2>\n<p style=\"color: #333333;\"><em>La Piovra\u00a0<\/em>translates to \u201cThe Octopus,\u201d which is a name for the Italian mafia.\u00a0 If you\u2019re a fan of crime thrillers, definitely give this a watch.<\/p>\n<p style=\"color: #333333;\"><em>La Piovra\u00a0<\/em>depicts the hard battle fought by police detective Corrado Cattani against the mafia, and the toll it takes on his personal life.\u00a0 It was so popular during the 80s that it aired all over Europe, even in the USSR, making it an international phenomenon<\/p>\n<h2 style=\"color: #333333;\">4. Romanzo Criminale<\/h2>\n<p style=\"color: #333333;\">Another crime drama,\u00a0<em>Romanzo Criminale\u00a0<\/em>is based on a film and novel and has gained a cult following among Italian viewers.\u00a0 While\u00a0<em>La Piovra\u00a0<\/em>has a cop as the protagonist,\u00a0<em>Romanzo Criminale\u00a0<\/em>follows a gang of criminals as they virtually take over the Roman heroin trade.<\/p>\n<p style=\"color: #333333;\">Based on real events in the 1970s, this series takes a detailed look at the feuds and power struggles within the Roman underworld, as the protagonists have to deal with various different crime syndicates to keep their trade going.<\/p>\n<h2 style=\"color: #333333;\">5.
