As I excelled in the class, I found that I was able to connect with Japanese exchange students, enjoy Japanese music and movies, and appreciate the Japanese culture even more by using my language skills. I realised that language is the best way to understand and appreciate another culture. After multiple trips to Japan in high school, I decided to major in East Asian Languages and Literature, with a specialisation in Spanish. After one year abroad in Spain and a semester abroad in Japan, I understood that my passion in life is to travel and immerse myself in foreign cultures. Language is the essential tool that allows me to do that. After graduating from university, I moved to Buenos Aires and worked at a Spanish language school in the admissions department helping students study Spanish in Argentina. I travelled across South America and perfected my Spanish abilities. After two and a half years, I decided to continue my higher education and moved to Germany to do my MA degree in Latin American studies. I learned German and enjoyed the classic German university experience in a small German city. Through my programme, I was able to spend a semester in Guadalajara, Mexico, researching for my thesis on women in Mexican cinema. After graduating from the master\u2019s programme, I moved to Tel Aviv, Israel, and began working as a content writer and learning Hebrew. Throughout this journey, language has been the most tangible skill set that I have used to adapt and integrate into many countries. I am passionate about connecting with people from different backgrounds, exploring unique regions and enjoying local food. I wish to continue travelling, expanding my horizons and living life to the fullest.","link":"https:\/\/www.languagetrainers.co.uk\/blog\/author\/noraw\/","slug":"noraw","avatar_urls":{"24":"https:\/\/secure.gravatar.com\/avatar\/ae33c2ede8e2c8eb102c0b8b221d6f40?s=24&d=identicon&r=g","48":"https:\/\/secure.gravatar.com\/avatar\/ae33c2ede8e2c8eb102c0b8b221d6f40?s=48&d=identicon&r=g","96":"https:\/\/secure.gravatar.com\/avatar\/ae33c2ede8e2c8eb102c0b8b221d6f40?s=96&d=identicon&r=g"},"meta":[],"acf":[],"yoast_head":"\n
Nora, Author at Language Trainers UK Blog<\/title>\n<meta name=\"robots\" content=\"index, follow, max-snippet:-1, max-image-preview:large, max-video-preview:-1\" \/>\n<link rel=\"canonical\" href=\"https:\/\/www.languagetrainers.co.uk\/blog\/author\/noraw\/\" \/>\n<meta property=\"og:locale\" content=\"en_US\" \/>\n<meta property=\"og:type\" content=\"profile\" \/>\n<meta property=\"og:title\" content=\"Nora, Author at Language Trainers UK Blog\" \/>\n<meta property=\"og:url\" content=\"https:\/\/www.languagetrainers.co.uk\/blog\/author\/noraw\/\" \/>\n<meta property=\"og:site_name\" content=\"Language Trainers UK Blog\" \/>\n<meta property=\"og:image\" content=\"https:\/\/secure.gravatar.com\/avatar\/ae33c2ede8e2c8eb102c0b8b221d6f40?s=500&d=identicon&r=g\" \/>\n<meta name=\"twitter:card\" content=\"summary_large_image\" \/>\n{\"@context\":\"https:\/\/schema.org\",\"@graph\":[{\"@type\":\"ProfilePage\",\"@id\":\"https:\/\/www.languagetrainers.co.uk\/blog\/author\/noraw\/\",\"url\":\"https:\/\/www.languagetrainers.co.uk\/blog\/author\/noraw\/\",\"name\":\"Nora, Author at Language Trainers UK Blog\",\"isPartOf\":{\"@id\":\"https:\/\/www.languagetrainers.co.uk\/blog\/#website\"},\"breadcrumb\":{\"@id\":\"https:\/\/www.languagetrainers.co.uk\/blog\/author\/noraw\/#breadcrumb\"},\"inLanguage\":\"en-US\",\"potentialAction\":[{\"@type\":\"ReadAction\",\"target\":[\"https:\/\/www.languagetrainers.co.uk\/blog\/author\/noraw\/\"]}]},{\"@type\":\"BreadcrumbList\",\"@id\":\"https:\/\/www.languagetrainers.co.uk\/blog\/author\/noraw\/#breadcrumb\",\"itemListElement\":[{\"@type\":\"ListItem\",\"position\":1,\"name\":\"Home\",\"item\":\"https:\/\/www.languagetrainers.co.uk\/blog\/\"},{\"@type\":\"ListItem\",\"position\":2,\"name\":\"Archives for Nora\"}]},{\"@type\":\"WebSite\",\"@id\":\"https:\/\/www.languagetrainers.co.uk\/blog\/#website\",\"url\":\"https:\/\/www.languagetrainers.co.uk\/blog\/\",\"name\":\"Language Trainers UK Blog\",\"description\":\"Any language, any time, anywhere\",\"potentialAction\":[{\"@type\":\"SearchAction\",\"target\":{\"@type\":\"EntryPoint\",\"urlTemplate\":\"https:\/\/www.languagetrainers.co.uk\/blog\/?s={search_term_string}\"},\"query-input\":{\"@type\":\"PropertyValueSpecification\",\"valueRequired\":true,\"valueName\":\"search_term_string\"}}],\"inLanguage\":\"en-US\"},{\"@type\":\"Person\",\"@id\":\"https:\/\/www.languagetrainers.co.uk\/blog\/#\/schema\/person\/5635f025b26f2620f17be65689488650\",\"name\":\"Nora\",\"image\":{\"@type\":\"ImageObject\",\"inLanguage\":\"en-US\",\"@id\":\"https:\/\/www.languagetrainers.co.uk\/blog\/#\/schema\/person\/image\/\",\"url\":\"https:\/\/secure.gravatar.com\/avatar\/ae33c2ede8e2c8eb102c0b8b221d6f40?s=96&d=identicon&r=g\",\"contentUrl\":\"https:\/\/secure.gravatar.com\/avatar\/ae33c2ede8e2c8eb102c0b8b221d6f40?s=96&d=identicon&r=g\",\"caption\":\"Nora\"},\"description\":\"My language learning journey began at the age of 14 when I started to study Japanese in high school.
