One-to-one General/Business
Arabic Course in Portsmouth
It doesn't matter if you want to learn Arabic for business or pleasure - our customised language courses will help you get where you want to be.
General and Business courses in Arabic differ in style and content: a General course will concentrate on developing confident conversational skills, making short visits to the country less of an exercise in frustration and more about building upon the foundations to your own ends. Business courses will centre more on formal, business communication, and focus more on reading and writing skills as you advance further.
Our Arabic courses would not be fixed to a specific curriculum, however. You know the specifics of what you will need from your new language, and all you need do is tell your teacher. Perhaps if you are taking a Business course, you may want to focus more on Arabic telephone or email skills, or a specific vocabulary for your line of work. Equally, a General course will cover the fundamentals, but further focus in any particular area can easily be arranged with your teacher.
Our Business courses cater to a range of requirements. Many of our clients work for foreign governments and educational institutions, corporations with branches abroad, as well as those who buy and sell around the world. Clients of our General Arabic courses include people moving abroad, those entering a Arabic family through marriage, those studying for a Arabic exam, as well as those who are simply passionate about Arabic language and culture.

Info about Portsmouth
A city of almost 200,000 people, Porstmouth (or 'Pompey', as it is often nicknamed) is a large Hampshire city on the UK's south coast. For centuries it has been the site of major naval activity - the city has the oldest drydock in the world, and while its use has fallen into relative decline in recent years, it is still a bustling commercial port, and used regularly by the Royal Navy.
The city's population is diverse in domestic terms, mainly due to the influence of the Royal Navy. Many de-mobilised sailors from all around the country (as well as Ireland, Scotland and Wales) end up staying in Portsmouth. However, while tourism from overseas is strong in the city, the resident population is mainly white; though this takes nothing away from Portsmouth's capacity as a great place to learn a new language.
Info about Arabic
Just as Latin forms the basis of most European languages, Arabic is prevalent throughout Islamic tongues. The most-spoken Semitic language in the world (well over 250 million speakers, mainly across the north of Africa), the Arabic language was of massive importance during the Middle Ages, with many important scientific, mathematical and philosophical works emanating from the Arabic world.
The first worry about learning Arabic is the alphabet - the main factor of confusion being that it is written from right to left. However, once you've settled in to the new writing system and rules of pronunciation, Arabic is an intensely rich language which attracts millions of new speakers every year.

My best friend and I are going to be doing some travelling in India next year, and we thought it best for two single girls to learn some of the lingo for our own safety and peace of mind. Preema has been fantastic, helping us with street slang, food terms, and even recommending a good meditation retreat (not to mention being patient with our terrible pronunciation!). Thanks, Preema
