One-to-one General/Business
Czech Course in Edinburgh
Whether you want Czech lessons to help you in your general day-to-day life or for business needs, our made-to-order language courses can help you improve quickly and confidently.
A General course in Czech will grant you 'Survival Czech' - enough under your belt to furnish you with a working knowledge for the purpose of visiting the country, allowing you to introduce yourself and engage in conversation with native speakers. A Business course will focus on business protocol in Czech, and later on reading and writing will become more important.
Our Czech courses would not be fixed to a specific curriculum, however. You know the specifics of what you will need from your new language, and all you need do is tell your teacher. Perhaps if you are taking a Business course, you may want to focus more on Czech telephone or email skills, or a specific vocabulary for your line of work. In the same way, those taking a General course who may need more knowledge of a certain aspect of Czech need only request it from their teacher.
Typical Business course students include those in international import/export, those hoping to gain acquisitions in foreign countries, those within multinational corporations, and people who do business with foreign institutions and governments. Our General courses cater for people aiming to purchase overseas property, globetrotters, Czech language and culture devotees, as well as people who need to pass a particular Czech exam.

City information
Edinburgh is something of a city of extremes. While the population is relatively old for the national average, the constant influx of the transient student population (around 100,000 out of a city of just under half a million people) makes up for the relative lack of resident youth. The city has a plethora of history, yet is one of the fastest-growing regions in Europe.
For most of the year the city is like any other historic Scottish city - mostly peaceful, with friendly residents, beautiful architecture, all overshadowed by a medieval castle. But that all goes to pot during the months from July to September, as the Edinburgh Festival runs its course, attracting many thousands of people to Scotland's capital.

I'm very much enjoying my lessons with Chiara. She's prompt and courteous and makes full use of the time. She's a skilled teacher who is quick to see both my needs and my existing skills and to build on these. I feel I'm learning a great deal about Italy as well as the language.
