One-to-one General/Business
Danish Course in Galway
Whether you're looking to learn a language for personal or business reasons, our tailor-made courses can help you achieve your aims.
General Danish courses will provide you with enough grammar and vocabulary to allow you to converse with native speakers, and form a strong basis for further learning. A Business course in Danish will generally cover basic business etiquette in that language, and at a higher level, reading and writing in Danish.
Courses are, however, tailor-made - you cover in your lessons what you need to cover. Most students taking a Business Danish course will gain telephone and email expertise, as well as general conversation skills. In the same way, those taking a General course who may need more knowledge of a certain aspect of Danish need only request it from their teacher.
We arrange Business courses for many clients; primarily those working in international trade, overseas governments and universities, and employees of multinational firms who require a second language. General courses cater mostly to those who wish to learn Danish for short trips to (or through) a country where it is widely spoken; as well as those who wish to pass a specific Danish exam, people who want to buy a home abroad, and people marrying into a Danish family.

Info about Danish
A Scandinavian language spoken by around 6 million people - mostly in Denmark and Greenland - Danish is in many ways something of a unique tongue. No other language is so liable for shortening and reducing word forms, even in formal language; and includes 14 vowel sounds. Verbs change in form only according to tense, rather than standard conjugation - but they make up for this oddity by having a huge amount of irregular verbs.
Proficient speakers of Danish, Swedish and Norwegian can generally understand one another pretty well, despite various differences between the languages and varying dialects depending on area - though thankfully Danish does not suffer so much from distinct regional dialects.

The staff at my small import company already knew a bit of Japanese, but I wanted to make sure that they were aware of the many customs and traditions, as well as improving their language skills. Kaori comes to the warehouse every Tuesday, and has always been patient and professional, even though sometimes the guys joke around with her. Everyone is really interested in the culture, and we've all become much more comfortable with our conversational skills. Cheers, Language Trainers.
