One-to-one General/Business

English Course in Cardiff

Whether you want English lessons to help you in your general day-to-day life or for business needs, our made-to-order language courses can help you improve quickly and confidently.

General English courses will cover Survival English, allowing you to be comfortable during short visits to the country; polite conversation, practicable vocabulary and a strong grammatical foundation. A Business course in English will generally cover basic business etiquette in that language, and at a higher level, reading and writing in English.

The possibilities are not limited to these two categories, however. Those taking a Business course will generally also learn English telephone and email skills, as well as learning the basics for surviving short visits to the country. In the same way, those taking a General course who may need more knowledge of a certain aspect of English need only request it from their teacher.

Typical Business course students include those in international import/export, those hoping to gain acquisitions in foreign countries, those within multinational corporations, and people who do business with foreign institutions and governments. Clients of our General English courses include people moving abroad, those entering a English family through marriage, those studying for a English exam, as well as those who are simply passionate about English language and culture.

Info about Cardiff

The capital of Wales has a fast-growing population, and with an increase of around 35,000 people in the last 7 years it is one of the fastest growing cities in northern Europe. Cardiff also has an interesting linguistic background - Welsh, English, Latin and Norse have all held sway at different times throughout history.

Today Cardiff houses around 100 different languages around the city, mainly due to the constant influx of foreign students and the community of Welsh speakers - around 11% of Cardiffians can still converse in Cymraeg; over 600,000 people. Cardiff also has a long-established Muslim population, dating back to the 19th century; making it a great place to pick up Arabic, Urdu, Punjabi and other Middle East and south Asian languages.
