English Lessons in Hull. Learn English

Our approach to English lessons is very simple. First of all we let you decide how you want to receive the classes. Some people like to get them at home and others at work. Some clients prefer to learn during the day and others at the weekend. So you don't need to try and adapt your life to the lessons when they can be tailor made to suit your needs. The classes are then delivered by native speakers who will give you all the help and support you need.

One-to-one General/Business

English Course in Hull

Our language classes will reflect your English needs and will give you the skills and confidence you want, regardless of how you plan to use your English knowledge in the future.

A General English course will concentrate on providing you with the knowledge you need in order for your trips abroad to be more interesting. You will no longer need to shy away from conversations with the locals. The business element of our English Business courses is important for a lot of our clients who plan to work in a English speaking country.

It is your first session and your own requirements, however, which decide the precise content of the course. A Business course will generally include common conversational topics, as well as gaining greater fluency with writing letters and emails in English, as well as using the telephone. A client who wants their General lessons to focus on a particular area of interest just needs to advise the teacher during their first lesson or at any time during the course.

Typical learners who choose our Business courses are import/export professionals, agents for multi-national companies, and those involved with foreign governments and universities. General courses cater mostly to those who wish to learn English for short trips to (or through) a country where it is widely spoken; as well as those who wish to pass a specific English exam, people who want to buy a home abroad, and people marrying into a English family.

You have the option to participate in a free language consultation before your course begins. This short consultation, usually over the phone, will reveal the work situations you will find yourself in and the terminology you will need to know in order for us to better design your course. This information, in addition to details regarding your preferred methods of learning, will be used to understand your specific requirements, work demands, and the language goals you wish to achieve from your course.

Info about Hull

Hull, or Kingston upon Hull to give the city its full name, was founded during the 12th century and throughout its history has been an extremely important city for the UK. Nowadays the city is an essential port city, with a population bordering on a quarter of a million.

The city of Hull is sometimes seen as something of an oddity - it's a large, sprawling, industrial city situated right in the middle of a mostly rural area of Yorkshire. While it was recently voted one of the worst places in the UK to live, most Hull natives are proud to be so, emphasising the residents' friendly disposition and working-class mindset.

With its thriving port, Hull attracts plenty of overseas visitors, making it an ideal spot to start learning a foreign language.
