One-to-one General/Business

English Course in Sunderland

Whether you want English lessons to help you in your general day-to-day life or for business needs, our made-to-order language courses can help you improve quickly and confidently.

General English courses will provide you with enough grammar and vocabulary to allow you to converse with native speakers, and form a strong basis for further learning. A Business course will focus on business protocol in English, and later on reading and writing will become more important.

It is your first session and your own requirements, however, which decide the precise content of the course. A Business course will generally include common conversational topics, as well as gaining greater fluency with writing letters and emails in English, as well as using the telephone. In the same way, those taking a General course who may need more knowledge of a certain aspect of English need only request it from their teacher.

We arrange Business courses for many clients; primarily those working in international trade, overseas governments and universities, and employees of multinational firms who require a second language. Clients of our General English courses include people moving abroad, those entering a English family through marriage, those studying for a English exam, as well as those who are simply passionate about English language and culture.

Info about Sunderland

Sunderland is a substantial city in Tyne and Wear, with around 290,000 residents in the city and surrounding area. Historically famed for its shipbuilding and glassmaking, the city's manufacturing industries have now deteriorated, mainly thanks to widespread bombing during the Second World War.

While the city as a whole is predominantly white, immigration has increased over the last decade, bringing in many families from Europe and Asia. This has increased the amount of languages spoken around the city, making it an increasingly interesting city for picking up a new language.
