One-to-one General/Business

French Course in Wigan

Whether you want French lessons to help you in your general day-to-day life or for business needs, our made-to-order language courses can help you improve quickly and confidently.

General French courses will provide you with enough grammar and vocabulary to allow you to converse with native speakers, and form a strong basis for further learning. A Business course will focus on business protocol in French, and later on reading and writing will become more important.

Courses are, however, tailor-made - you cover in your lessons what you need to cover. Most students taking a Business French course will gain telephone and email expertise, as well as general conversation skills. Equally, a General course will cover the fundamentals, but further focus in any particular area can easily be arranged with your teacher.

We arrange Business courses for many clients; primarily those working in international trade, overseas governments and universities, and employees of multinational firms who require a second language. General courses cater mostly to those who wish to learn French for short trips to (or through) a country where it is widely spoken; as well as those who wish to pass a specific French exam, people who want to buy a home abroad, and people marrying into a French family.

Info about Wigan

Standing on the river Douglas around 20 miles from Manchester and Liverpool, Wigan is a large town with a fascinating history stretching back to the times of Celtic tribes. The town is famed for many things, including many musical legends such as George Formby Jr. And Sr., having the highest density of pubs and social clubs of any UK city, and of course, the annual World Pie Eating Championship.

Wigan has many minority communities scattered around the town and its suburbs; including Chinese, Caribbean, Pakistani, Indian and many from African nations. This makes it something of a multi-lingual town, and an excellent place to start finding your way in a brand new tongue.
