One-to-one General/Business

German Course in Edinburgh

It's no problem if you need to take German lessons specifically for personal use or to help with your career - our trainers mould the lesson plan to your precise needs.

A General course in German will grant you 'Survival German' - enough under your belt to furnish you with a working knowledge for the purpose of visiting the country, allowing you to introduce yourself and engage in conversation with native speakers. Business courses are great for those whose career will be moving overseas - you would learn the fundamental protocols for engaging in business in German, and later would start to focus more on the integral skills of reading and writing.

Our German courses would not be fixed to a specific curriculum, however. You know the specifics of what you will need from your new language, and all you need do is tell your teacher. Perhaps if you are taking a Business course, you may want to focus more on German telephone or email skills, or a specific vocabulary for your line of work. Similarly, General courses can delve deeper into certain areas of the language that you know you will need.

Our Business courses cater to a range of requirements. Many of our clients work for foreign governments and educational institutions, corporations with branches abroad, as well as those who buy and sell around the world. Clients of our General German courses include people moving abroad, those entering a German family through marriage, those studying for a German exam, as well as those who are simply passionate about German language and culture.

Info about Edinburgh

Edinburgh is something of a city of extremes. While the population is relatively old for the national average, the constant influx of the transient student population (around 100,000 out of a city of just under half a million people) makes up for the relative lack of resident youth. The city has a plethora of history, yet is one of the fastest-growing regions in Europe.

For most of the year the city is like any other historic Scottish city - mostly peaceful, with friendly residents, beautiful architecture, all overshadowed by a medieval castle. But that all goes to pot during the months from July to September, as the Edinburgh Festival runs its course, attracting many thousands of people to Scotland's capital.
