One-to-one General/Business
Greek Course in Liverpool
It's no problem if you need to take Greek lessons specifically for personal use or to help with your career - our trainers mould the lesson plan to your precise needs.
While a General Greek course will provide you with enough linguistic ammunition to allow you to survive a short visit to the country (greetings, basic conversation and a solid grammatical foundation). A Business course will focus on business protocol in Greek, and later on reading and writing will become more important.
Our Greek courses would not be fixed to a specific curriculum, however. You know the specifics of what you will need from your new language, and all you need do is tell your teacher. Perhaps if you are taking a Business course, you may want to focus more on Greek telephone or email skills, or a specific vocabulary for your line of work. Similarly, General courses can delve deeper into certain areas of the language that you know you will need.
We arrange Business courses for many clients; primarily those working in international trade, overseas governments and universities, and employees of multinational firms who require a second language. Clients of our General Greek courses include people moving abroad, those entering a Greek family through marriage, those studying for a Greek exam, as well as those who are simply passionate about Greek language and culture.

City information
A core city of the UK, famed for many great exports - and not just the exports that have been sent out of the city's famous docks for hundreds of years. As the source of the Beatles and many other musicians of great worth, Liverpool is immensely proud of its role as a driving force of UK culture; and in fact was named European City of Culture for 2008.
With around 450,000 residents in the borough and city, and a further 820,000 in the urban area, Liverpool is a sprawling post-industrial metropolis, and thanks to its sea trade has always attracted plenty of overseas visitors and immigrants, all of which help give those living in the city a fantastic scope for picking up a new language. Almost every European language can be heard around Liverpool, and there are many Chinese and south Asian communities dotted around the city.
Language information
Modern Greek is the 5th stage of the evolution of the Hellenic language, and is spoken mainly in Greece and Cyprus; though there are Greek-speaking communities dotted all around the world, making approximately 17 million speakers worldwide.
The most obvious difference between Greek and English is the Greek alphabet, which may look a little scary at first, but actually shares a great many similarities with the standard Roman alphabet. In many ways Modern Greek is a watered-down version of its ancient counterpart, leaving behind many grammatical features, yet few enough for most students of Ancient Greek to pick up Modern Greek relatively quickly.

Now that I'm a bit older, I have a bit more time on my hands. I started Italian cooking classes, and loved them so much that I thought I would learn a bit of the language. Well, I never thought someone my age could pick it up so quickly, but Patrizia is so patient and helpful. Now I'm even thinking about taking a holiday to Napoli!
