One-to-one General/Business
Greek Course in London
It's no problem if you need to take Greek lessons specifically for personal use or to help with your career - our trainers mould the lesson plan to your precise needs.
General Greek courses will cover Survival Greek, allowing you to be comfortable during short visits to the country; polite conversation, practicable vocabulary and a strong grammatical foundation. A Business course will focus on business protocol in Greek, and later on reading and writing will become more important.
The possibilities are not limited to these two categories, however. Those taking a Business course will generally also learn Greek telephone and email skills, as well as learning the basics for surviving short visits to the country. In the same vein, the syllabus for General courses is not set in stone - all you need do is ask your teacher.
Our Business courses cater to a range of requirements. Many of our clients work for foreign governments and educational institutions, corporations with branches abroad, as well as those who buy and sell around the world. Our General courses cater for people aiming to purchase overseas property, globetrotters, Greek language and culture devotees, as well as people who need to pass a particular Greek exam.

City information
London may well be THE place to pick up a second language - the city is awash with ethnic diversity thanks to the size, splendour and influence of the EU's most populous city. Over 300 languages are spoken around the sprawling mass of boroughs known as Greater London, shared amongst the 7 and a half million residents of the city.
As the capital of the UK, London has always attracted overseas interest, which is only helped by the fact that the city houses five international airports, including the busiest international airport in the world - Heathrow. This creates a constant influx of tourists and immigrants from a huge variety of cultural and religious origin. If there was ever a place ideally suited for learning another language, surely London is it - something that foreigners know only too well, as London is a global centre for English language learning.
Language information
Modern Greek is the 5th stage of the evolution of the Hellenic language, and is spoken mainly in Greece and Cyprus; though there are Greek-speaking communities dotted all around the world, making approximately 17 million speakers worldwide.
The most obvious difference between Greek and English is the Greek alphabet, which may look a little scary at first, but actually shares a great many similarities with the standard Roman alphabet. In many ways Modern Greek is a watered-down version of its ancient counterpart, leaving behind many grammatical features, yet few enough for most students of Ancient Greek to pick up Modern Greek relatively quickly.

My best friend and I are going to be doing some travelling in India next year, and we thought it best for two single girls to learn some of the lingo for our own safety and peace of mind. Preema has been fantastic, helping us with street slang, food terms, and even recommending a good meditation retreat (not to mention being patient with our terrible pronunciation!). Thanks, Preema
