One-to-one General/Business
Italian Course in Edinburgh
If you want to be taught Italian for academic reasons, business needs or gain a working knowledge of the language for general purposes, our tailormade lessons are guaranteed to be the ideal solution.
General Italian courses will provide you with enough grammar and vocabulary to allow you to converse with native speakers, and form a strong basis for further learning. Business courses will centre more on formal, business communication, and focus more on reading and writing skills as you advance further.
Courses are, however, tailor-made - you cover in your lessons what you need to cover. Most students taking a Business Italian course will gain telephone and email expertise, as well as general conversation skills. In the same way, those taking a General course who may need more knowledge of a certain aspect of Italian need only request it from their teacher.
Typical Business course students include those in international import/export, those hoping to gain acquisitions in foreign countries, those within multinational corporations, and people who do business with foreign institutions and governments. General courses cater mostly to those who wish to learn Italian for short trips to (or through) a country where it is widely spoken; as well as those who wish to pass a specific Italian exam, people who want to buy a home abroad, and people marrying into a Italian family.

City information
Edinburgh is something of a city of extremes. While the population is relatively old for the national average, the constant influx of the transient student population (around 100,000 out of a city of just under half a million people) makes up for the relative lack of resident youth. The city has a plethora of history, yet is one of the fastest-growing regions in Europe.
For most of the year the city is like any other historic Scottish city - mostly peaceful, with friendly residents, beautiful architecture, all overshadowed by a medieval castle. But that all goes to pot during the months from July to September, as the Edinburgh Festival runs its course, attracting many thousands of people to Scotland's capital.
Language information
Italian is, out of all the Romance languages, the one most closely resembling Latin; and the language preserves much of its ancient counterpart's logical yet idiomatic form. Whether you want to learn Italian for personal, business or academic needs, Language Trainers will be able to help you. Our fully-qualified native Italian speakers can visit you at a time and place that is convenient for you, and can tutor groups as well as individuals. All academic materials are provided for you, and the course is customisable so it's tailor-made for your own needs.
I found Eddy polite and helpful at all times. He was always on time and made the lessons interesting and informative. The lessons have given me a good revision of the French I knew years ago. I have been overall very happy with the service provided to me.
