Korean Course in Edinburgh
It doesn't matter if you want to learn Korean for business or pleasure - our customised language courses will help you get where you want to be.
A General course in Korean will grant you 'Survival Korean' - enough under your belt to furnish you with a working knowledge for the purpose of visiting the country, allowing you to introduce yourself and engage in conversation with native speakers. Business courses will centre more on formal, business communication, and focus more on reading and writing skills as you advance further.
Courses are, however, tailor-made - you cover in your lessons what you need to cover. Most students taking a Business Korean course will gain telephone and email expertise, as well as general conversation skills. In the same way, those taking a General course who may need more knowledge of a certain aspect of Korean need only request it from their teacher.
We have a wide range of Business course clients for a variety of needs; including people who are off to work for a foreign administration, people working in a corporation with overseas headquarters, and import/export specialists. Clients of our General Korean courses include people moving abroad, those entering a Korean family through marriage, those studying for a Korean exam, as well as those who are simply passionate about Korean language and culture.

Info about Edinburgh
Edinburgh is something of a city of extremes. While the population is relatively old for the national average, the constant influx of the transient student population (around 100,000 out of a city of just under half a million people) makes up for the relative lack of resident youth. The city has a plethora of history, yet is one of the fastest-growing regions in Europe.
For most of the year the city is like any other historic Scottish city - mostly peaceful, with friendly residents, beautiful architecture, all overshadowed by a medieval castle. But that all goes to pot during the months from July to September, as the Edinburgh Festival runs its course, attracting many thousands of people to Scotland's capital.

Info about Korean
Korean is the official language for both North and South Korea, with around 80 million speakers worldwide. Heavily influenced by Chinese and with grammar similar to Japanese, the language varies fairly widely not only between North and South, but also from region to region. Originally written with Chinese characters, a syllabic writing system called Hangul was introduced in the 15th century, making it easier to write the Korean language.
Korean, however, like most Asian languages, is seen as a challenging prospect for western speakers; with a similar level of difficulty as languages such as Arabic and Chinese. However, it is an incredibly interesting and vivid language spoken in large communities throughout the civilised world.
