One-to-one General/Business
Korean Course in Liverpool
It's no problem if you need to take Korean lessons specifically for personal use or to help with your career - our trainers mould the lesson plan to your precise needs.
General Korean courses will provide you with enough grammar and vocabulary to allow you to converse with native speakers, and form a strong basis for further learning. A Business course in Korean will generally cover basic business etiquette in that language, and at a higher level, reading and writing in Korean.
Our Korean courses would not be fixed to a specific curriculum, however. You know the specifics of what you will need from your new language, and all you need do is tell your teacher. Perhaps if you are taking a Business course, you may want to focus more on Korean telephone or email skills, or a specific vocabulary for your line of work. Similarly, General courses can delve deeper into certain areas of the language that you know you will need.
Our Business courses cater to a range of requirements. Many of our clients work for foreign governments and educational institutions, corporations with branches abroad, as well as those who buy and sell around the world. Clients of our General Korean courses include people moving abroad, those entering a Korean family through marriage, those studying for a Korean exam, as well as those who are simply passionate about Korean language and culture.

City information
A core city of the UK, famed for many great exports - and not just the exports that have been sent out of the city's famous docks for hundreds of years. As the source of the Beatles and many other musicians of great worth, Liverpool is immensely proud of its role as a driving force of UK culture; and in fact was named European City of Culture for 2008.
With around 450,000 residents in the borough and city, and a further 820,000 in the urban area, Liverpool is a sprawling post-industrial metropolis, and thanks to its sea trade has always attracted plenty of overseas visitors and immigrants, all of which help give those living in the city a fantastic scope for picking up a new language. Almost every European language can be heard around Liverpool, and there are many Chinese and south Asian communities dotted around the city.
Language information
Korean is the official language for both North and South Korea, with around 80 million speakers worldwide. Heavily influenced by Chinese and with grammar similar to Japanese, the language varies fairly widely not only between North and South, but also from region to region. Originally written with Chinese characters, a syllabic writing system called Hangul was introduced in the 15th century, making it easier to write the Korean language.
Korean, however, like most Asian languages, is seen as a challenging prospect for western speakers; with a similar level of difficulty as languages such as Arabic and Chinese. However, it is an incredibly interesting and vivid language spoken in large communities throughout the civilised world.

With the markets opening up in China, I thought it best that our sales team learned some of the basics, to help build our client relationships. The classes were convenient and well-paced, and our trainer even agreed to a video conference when some of the guys were out of town. I think we even surprised ourselves with the conversations we managed, and some of us can even read and write a few characters already.
