One-to-one General/Business
Russian Course in Edinburgh
It doesn't matter if you want to learn Russian for business or pleasure - our customised language courses will help you get where you want to be.
General Russian courses will cover Survival Russian, allowing you to be comfortable during short visits to the country; polite conversation, practicable vocabulary and a strong grammatical foundation. Business courses will centre more on formal, business communication, and focus more on reading and writing skills as you advance further.
The possibilities are not limited to these two categories, however. Those taking a Business course will generally also learn Russian telephone and email skills, as well as learning the basics for surviving short visits to the country. Likewise, a General course can include specific elements that are integral to your needs, for example if you need vocabulary specific to buying property overseas.
Typical Business course students include those in international import/export, those hoping to gain acquisitions in foreign countries, those within multinational corporations, and people who do business with foreign institutions and governments. General courses cater mostly to those who wish to learn Russian for short trips to (or through) a country where it is widely spoken; as well as those who wish to pass a specific Russian exam, people who want to buy a home abroad, and people marrying into a Russian family.

Info about Edinburgh
Edinburgh is something of a city of extremes. While the population is relatively old for the national average, the constant influx of the transient student population (around 100,000 out of a city of just under half a million people) makes up for the relative lack of resident youth. The city has a plethora of history, yet is one of the fastest-growing regions in Europe.
For most of the year the city is like any other historic Scottish city - mostly peaceful, with friendly residents, beautiful architecture, all overshadowed by a medieval castle. But that all goes to pot during the months from July to September, as the Edinburgh Festival runs its course, attracting many thousands of people to Scotland's capital.

Info about Russian
As the most popular Slavic language with around 275 million speakers worldwide, Russian is the official language of Russia, and is spoken widely in countries that used to form republics of the now-dissolved USSR; for example Belarus, Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan.
Russian is an extremely challenging language to learn for those with no experience of Slavic languages. First of all there's the hurdle of the Cyrillic alphabet, of which the Russians use their own 33-letter variant. Then there's the pronunciation - almost a world apart from any English dialect. Russian is classified as a 'level III' language (the second hardest level) in terms of difficulty for native English speakers, according to the Defence Language Institute of California; but the doors that learning Russian opens to you cannot be underestimated.
