Language Trainers: Hello, Mariana! Thank you for taking the time to share your experience with us. Could you tell us a little about you, and what took you to learn a language with Language Trainers?
Mariana Aftanache: I chose Language Trainers because I wanted to improve my English. I would like to study HR soon, but I needed to feel confident enough first. I was not a beginner when I started studying. However, I never felt confident to speak English, as I always believed people would judge me for my accent. Language Trainers offers lessons for all levels, which is what attracted me to learn with them. Plus, I work for Amazon, so I could do the English Course with the Career Choice programme.
Language Trainers: And how did that go? Is there any particular aspect about studying with Language Trainers that stands out?
Mariana Aftanache: I love how our lessons were never boring, as we could have a coffee and learn at the same time. I spoke with Paul, my teacher, about my weaknesses and we agreed that we would focus on pronunciation and communication.
Language Trainers: That’s amazing! And what do you consider was the most helpful aspect of your course?
Mariana Aftanache: Language Trainers offered me flexibility, as I am a full-time worker, and allowed my husband to join my lessons. Plus, 2020 was a difficult year due to COVID so it was difficult for us and the teacher to meet. We started our first lessons face to face, meeting with our teacher at Costa. Then, in autumn, all shops closed due to COVID so we moved our lessons online via ZOOM. I would always recommend Paul and Language Trainers. Any time I had a question they were prompt to respond.
