Language Trainers: Good afternoon, Adam. How are you doing?
Adam: Good afternoon. I’m good, thanks.
Language Trainers: Would you mind telling us a bit about yourself?
Adam: My name is Adam, I'm 22 years old. I wanted to learn Korean as I had made a few Korean friends during my summer holidays. I got really interested in the language after talking with them and exploring Korean media, like Kpop and Kdramas. I love how the language sounds and how it looks when written down, so I felt compelled to learn more.
Language Trainers: What made you decide to work with Language Trainers?
Adam: I chose Language Trainers mainly because of the impressive number of organisations that vouched for them. Also, many reviews mentioned the high quality of teaching. I was particularly pleased with the level of communication I had with the course coordinators. They made the process much easier and stress-free.
Language Trainers: What was your favourite aspect of studying with Language Trainers?
Adam: My favourite part was working with my trainer. He was incredibly encouraging and nice, which greatly enhanced my learning experience. I don't think I would have made the progress I did without his guidance and teaching style.
Language Trainers: What was the most helpful aspect of the course?
Adam: The most helpful aspect was my trainer's teaching style. He started with the basics of the language, giving me key building blocks to create my own sentences. This approach allowed me to continue improving my language skills even outside our sessions.
Language Trainers: What has been the most rewarding outcome of this experience?
Adam: The most rewarding outcomes are the sense of accomplishment from learning a language so different from any I've studied before and the ability to understand sentences I thought would be difficult. It’s also quite fun to impress my Korean friends with my new knowledge.
Language Trainers: How has your language ability improved?
Adam: My language ability has improved immensely. I've grasped the basics of a language entirely different from my first language. While I'm currently at a basic level, I've been given the skills to further improve. Speaking even a little bit with my Korean friends has been an amazing experience.
Language Trainers: Would you recommend Language Trainers to others?
Adam: I would highly encourage anyone looking to learn a new language, whether at a beginner or intermediate level, to enrol with Language Trainers. The understanding of my needs and goals by both the Course Coordinator and the Trainer was excellent, resulting in me achieving exactly what I wanted through the course.
Language Trainers: What is your favourite phrase or word in Korean so far?
Adam: My favourite phrase in Korean is “안녕하세요” (annyonghaseyo) and its informal form “안녕” (annyong), which means "Hello". It’s a basic greeting, but to me, it's such a pleasant-sounding phrase. It signifies meeting new people and expanding my horizons.
