Danish Lessons in Cambridge

Get Started and Learn Danish

5 million native speakers – located throughout Denmark, northern Germany, Iceland, and a handful of other countries – speak Danish. This Scandinavian language is so similar to Norwegian and Swedish that its speakers can understand those languages in both spoken and written forms! And did you know that Danish’s mother country, Denmark, is consistently voted the happiest country in the world?

Where to Study Foreign Languages in Cambridge: If you are thinking about your future, then you should consider that language study will open more doors to you where career or degree options are concerned, and there is no better place to study than at Cambridge, a city known for its world-class education. The renowned University of Cambridge offers exceptional opportunities to study the languages and cultures of most European (and many non-European) countries with programmes that will provide you with advanced linguistic and critical skills, as well as intercultural sensitivity. If you would like to enrol in some of Cambridge’s courses, please consider that even though some languages can be learnt from scratch, there are a number for which A-Level standard is required, such as French and Latin. Contact us at Language Trainers and we will help you get ready for this amazing opportunity and ensure you reach the minimum standards required to start studying your chosen course. And if you decide to study at other institutions, like Anglia Ruskin University, you will be glad to know the Language Centre programme provides a course range of fifteen languages: Arabic, Chinese, French, German, Hebrew, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Modern Greek, Persian, Portuguese, Russian, Spanish, Swahili and Turkish. You certainly won’t run out of opportunities to study in this city!

Where to Practise Foreign Languages in Cambridge: Contact us at Language Trainers and we will design a course that suits your skills and abilities so you become fluent in any language of your choosing. But you should consider that practising outside the classroom is also necessary to become truly proficient. Luckily, you will find plenty of opportunities to do so around Cambridge, especially if you join a language exchange group, such as Cambridge International Friends. This meet-up aims to bring together anyone who would like to learn a foreign language while making friends from all over the world. If you are interested in travelling, exchanging stories and having fun, then this is the group for you! Another great option is to take part in the activities organised by the Cambridge Language Café. It doesn’t matter if you are learning English, Hungarian or Greek; as long as you are interested in socialising with people of all ages and learning more about their culture and experiences, you are welcome!

Language Jobs in Cambridge: Cambridgeshire’s economy continues to boom as its biggest companies have enjoyed years of economic growth, headquartering giants like the pharmaceutical AstraZeneca, with a turnover of $20 billion. Also, other businesses, like Marshall of Cambridge, Hilton Food and BHL Holdings, have expanded abroad and, so, are always on the lookout for bilingual employees who can communicate with their clients and partners overseas. Increase your language skills and stand out when applying for a job at one of these international companies! Meanwhile, if you would like to establish your existing business abroad, don’t hesitate to contact one of the many chambers of commerce and business councils in the city. For instance, you can find such entities for the Chinese, Italians, Spanish and Portuguese. All these institutions aim to promote friendly business relations between the UK and other nations, for which they usually organise talks, conferences and events where you can network with entrepreneurs of other countries and establish meaningful business connections!
