Language Trainers: Hello Klara! Thank you for speaking with me today. Before diving into your experience with Language Trainers, could you tell us what languages you teach and why you chose a career in teaching?
Klara: I teach Croatian, and I’ve chosen a career in teaching because, first of all, I like to teach. It is a great opportunity to share my knowledge with other people. It is also a wonderful opportunity to meet new students who enrich my life, as each one of them comes to class with their own story. Also, teaching encourages us to continue studying, and this is crucial for our mental well-being.
Language Trainers: Being a teacher certainly has many perks! How did you prepare to get a job in this field? Tell us about your teaching qualifications and history.
Klara: I graduated in German and English at the University La Sapienza in Rome, Italy (Facoltà di Lettere e Filosofia). Plus, I attended language courses abroad in England, Scotland, Ireland, the United States, Canada, Germany and Austria. Regarding my experience, I have taught adult students who attend Croatian language courses or who take private lessons.
Language Trainers: You clearly know your field very well! What attracted you to teach with Language Trainers?
Klara: The possibility to teach students from all over the world. Indeed, Language Trainers is for me a window to the world, and this gives me a great feeling of freedom.
Language Trainers: That’s true! Working globally opens lots of doors. And what is your favourite thing about working with Language Trainers?
Klara: My students. I just love them.
Language Trainers: Is there any particular aspect that makes you love your students even more?
Klara: I love it when they are curious not only about the language but also about Croatian history and culture, so that they may get an overall idea of the country when they finish their lessons.
Language Trainers: That is very rewarding indeed! And what should students expect from you as their teacher?
Klara: Maybe my students should answer this question. However, I’d say professionalism, knowledge, the ability to explain clearly, and above all, always giving my best as a teacher.
Language Trainers: Those are all excellent traits in a teacher. So far, what has been your most memorable teaching experience with Language Trainers?
Klara: To be honest, all my teaching experiences with Language Trainers are memorable, because my students are memorable. They are special and, as you know, special people make every experience unforgettable and memorable. I am really blessed.
Language Trainers: It’s so great to hear that, Klara! Why do you think students should enrol in a language course with Language Trainers?
Klara: Because they can travel around the world without taking a plane, train or ship, sitting comfortably in their room. With Language Trainers, the world is within reach, and every new language is just around the corner.
Language Trainers: Thank you for your answers! Finally, is there any word of advice you would give to anyone just getting started learning a new language?
Klara: Be persistent and never give up!
