Language Trainers: What language(s) do you teach? Why did you choose a career in teaching?
Gianluca: I teach Italian, English, and Spanish for foreigners here at Language Trainers. I’ve always been interested in teaching—I even used to teach my high school classmates. I enjoy helping people learn and discover culture. I’m passionate about history, philosophy, geopolitics, economics, art, and sports.
Language Trainers: Tell us about your teaching qualifications and history.
Gianluca: I studied history at Federico II University in Naples, Italy. Later, I began learning English and picked up Spanish when I moved to Mexico. Over the past decade, I’ve been a delegate at various events and have taught subjects like art history, cinema, and Italian gastronomy, both in person and online.

Gianluca: Currently, I’m working with five Canadian students, seven American students, and a Croatian student based in the UK. They’re all highly motivated and eager to learn. Our lessons are fun and engaging, with visuals and games. Many are focused on improving their pronunciation and communicating effectively during their travels. Some of my students even have Italian roots, which makes the experience even more meaningful.
Language Trainers: Why should students enrol in a language course with Language Trainers?
Gianluca: Students will gain a lot from my Italian courses, taught by a native historian with expertise in modern teaching methodologies. My approach incorporates games, personalized materials, and a deep focus on Italian culture, making the learning process engaging and effective.
Language Trainers: Tell us a fun fact about the language you teach or a favourite expression you ask your students to learn.
Gianluca: Italian is a vibrant and colorful language. I enjoy teaching expressions like “In bocca al lupo” (good luck) and “Tutto a posto” (everything is fine). These common phrases add charm and authenticity to learning Italian.
