She completed her Bachelor's in International Relations and Master's in Human Rights at the University of Colombo and participated in many supplementary courses in Human Resources Management and International Human Rights, which inform her compassionate approach to teaching.

Born in Pakistan, Poornima is a committed Sinhala language tutor and translator. She holds a Teaching diploma from Pasdunrata National College of Education, Sri Lanka, and an EFT qualification from the British Council SL. A bilingual professional with a passion for languages and foreign cultures, she has experience teaching children and adults both individually and in groups.
